I got to thinking about this in the last few months because a number of our local stores have been shutting their doors, no doubt a result of the Internet age of shopping. Daffodils

My dad has been growing mountains of flowers in the yard the past couple years. He gave us a bunch of daffodils last week, and here’s a shot of them happily blooming in our kitchen…
