Hope for hopeless hearts

Reading the news about VTU the last couple days has been heart-wrenching. I can’t stop thinking about our desperate need for a Savior, Jesus. Where there seems to be no hope, there is Jesus. Where there is hurt and anguish, there is Jesus. He meets every need of our hearts. In some ways, I think I’m oversimplifying the world’s issues. But then I think – no, I’m not. Because Jesus is the hope for the world, our sole and soul sufficiency. Life starts, ends, and continues with Him. I’m reminded of the bridge of a song my friend Minho wrote, which says:

And a light shines in the dark,
Gives hope to hopeless hearts,
And life to all who believe.

Everything we go through, God can meet it. That’s all I can think about when I read of hopelessness. “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Heb. 4:15-16)

I’m sorry to bother you, but I’m looking for Jason Yip, a long lost friend of mine. I realize this is random, but Google is a powerful tool that takes you to many dead ends. My name is Brita Johnson, and I toured with Jason on the Continental Singers in…1997. I found him at Mt. Sinai in New York, but there is no email listed. If you could pass along my contact info to him, I would be very grateful.
Your pictures are great by the way!
